I suddenly had the urge to go back and check up on this thing...

Oh xanga, such fond memories of high school...updating in chem class instead of working...having Erin log on without me knowing and making posts...good times.

Can't believe it's been 3 years.

Wow....
how many months has it been?

I'm sorry xanga, I betrayed you for livejournal.

Things have changed so much since I last updated this.  Namely the fact that senior year is ending, our group has changed and the college app headache is over.  Georgetown class of 2008!

Whatever....

EDIT: Reading back to an entry nearly a year ago...and its me mocking Yam...wow I feel so crappy now.

People really need to remind me to update this, if any of you actually still look at it.

I am now officially 17 years and 3 days old.  Hehe.  A bunch of the people I invited out couldn't come, but it was still fun with the ones who did come, and I got some pretty good gifts (thanks for all the coffee-related stuff, you guys know me too well).  It's been a pretty eventful week, for those of you who actually know what I'm talking about (all one of you).

Senior year is going remarkably well up till now.  A lot of people are complaining about Ms. Mitchell now.  I know shes a bit strict (read: very strict), but I still think we should give her a bigger chance before passing judgement, and I think she's doing a lot of good things for the band.

The new parking lot group: Carrie, Austen, Sai, Katie, Emily, Kathleen, and me.  Other than Sai, I'm the only one without a car, but that will soon be remedied (!!!).

"If you're not awake NOW, you might be awake NOW."

Jazz band has begun, and with it the sleep deprivation that is so common for me now, but without the endless waves of homework that once accompanied it.  And I can always sleep in Spanish if I get too tired.

OH!  I got the National Merit Scholarship thingy!  *happy dance*

Starbucks has once again raised my hopes only to dash them against the caffinated wheels of industry.  This time, a deceptive now hiring sign outside the school one, except they aren't really hiring.  Blah.

Sai is telling me now that he can actually play the fiddler wedding dance solo.  I'll believe that when I hear it (hopefully tomorrow).

Recently I've begun to reminisce about the old St Joes days, with me and my tiny group of friends.  Probably because we were discussing our old friend Lizzie with Mario yesterday in spanish and I talked to Andrea for the first time in a long while today.  I don't know why I miss those old days, since I have more and closer friends now that I did in those days, but still...blah.  As Katie said, our subconscious sucks.

Tomorrow's the first football game against Cappuchino High.  Makes me want coffee just thinking about it.  Maybe I'll go for the triple-shot expresso mocha again...  Band practice is fun, I get to walk around and tell people to straighten their lines and all that fun stuff, except now it's hard work trying to get the big S to look like something other than a blob of people.  And the freshmen (and certain annoying sophs and juniors) like to screw around and move the flags.  Blah.  Hopefully we won't suck too much tomorrow.  Theresa says shes coming, maybe some more...I don't know what to call them other than former seniors...of them will come.

I have spirituality homework I've been procrastinating on, and I should do it know.  Adieu.

Thanks Emily for reminding me today that this still existed.  I really should update this, and I'm procrastinating on hw so I'll do so now.

My summer was actually fun for once.  Went to Peru and spent a month down there, came back last week, did the book days/band camp thing I do every year, and today school started, so once again me and my friends will suffer through hell, but not as bad a hell because we're seniors now, not juniors, and this is a really long run-on sentence.  Heh.  Too much stuff about Peru to write about, so just ask me and I'll share some crazy anecdote (sp?) and/or gift.

I'd much rather talk about my first day of school, which you might not be as interested about (since most of you were there) so bite me.

Band...well I already knew what to expect from mrs Mitchell.  Blah, I forget my clarinet the first day, thats a great first impression (3rd impression but she never remembers who i am anyway).  And I'm hopefully switching to bassoon, and i need to do something about jazz band stuff, so I can actually be in it again this year.  Blah, new teacher making it so complicated.

Ingrish...Redfern is very odd.  She sure acts like she's new, and reminds me of a very timid, twitchy mouse.  Other than that and the fact that I don't like her book selection, I'll wait before passing judgement on her.

Calc...OD is awesome!  He's really funny, but Natalie is currently warning me that he teaches very little and she liked Johnson better.  Well, again I'll wait and see.

Spirituality...Biggs is cool, but I hate my class.  I think they took the 30 stupidest people in the school, no, the state, and put them in that class.  Only people I know are Susie, Yvonne, and Jeanette, and I'm surrounded by jocks with the IQ of dirt and cheerleaders with even lower IQs.  Please let this class end soon.

Tomorrow I'll hopefully have better stuff.  Spanish with Whytoshek (ick), Physics with Ikezi, and Amer Issues with Christensen (Katie and Jessica are starting to scare me about the IQ of this class too).
